Full Chip Broadcast

To create one of our popular yet diversely distinct full chip systems, our skilled technicians apply a primer of 100% solids epoxy, then cover the entire surface to full saturation with decorative chips, followed by another coat of solids epoxy. Known as a full chip broadcast, this process creates a beautiful, durable, smooth surface that's ideal for automotive showrooms, commercial lobbies, restaurants, and countless other high-traffic locations.

System Overview

Full chip broadcast epoxy flooring system components

01

Concrete Prep & Patching

We begin by shot blasting the concrete to a CSP 3/4 surface profile, ensuring optimal conditions for maximum epoxy mechanical bonding. This meticulous surface preparation is crucial for the long-term durability of the traffic system.

03

Acrylic Flake Full Broadcast

Acrylic flakes are then fully broadcasted into the epoxy while it is still wet. This process ensures an even coverage and allows the flakes to adhere properly. Once the epoxy cures, the embedded acrylic flakes not only add visual texture and color but also increase the durability and slip resistance of the floor. This combination of strength and aesthetics makes the floor both functional and visually appealing.

02

100% Solids Epoxy Base Coat

Next, a layer of 100% Solids Pigmented Epoxy is then applied to the prepped concrete. The 100% solids formulation means there are no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released during application, making it an environmentally friendly option that also reduces health risks for installers and occupants.

04

High-Performance Polyaspartic Build Coat

Once the epoxy is fully cured, the acrylic flakes are carefully scraped and sanded to achieve a smooth surface. A layer of clear polyaspartic is then applied over the flakes, providing a durable, glossy finish that enhances both the appearance and longevity of the floor.

05

High-Performance Polyaspartic Top Coat

Finally, the floor is finished with an additional layer of clear polyaspartic, resulting in an even smoother and more durable surface. This final coat not only enhances the aesthetic appeal with a glossy finish but also provides superior protection against wear and tear, ensuring the longevity and resilience of the flooring.

SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS

QUICK TURNAROUND/RETURN TO SERVICE

All of our full chip systems can be installed in just two days, ensuring a quick turnaround for your space. Remarkably, within just 24 hours after the final installation day, the floor is ready for foot traffic and can accommodate objects being placed back on it. This efficient timeline minimizes downtime, allowing your business operations to continue with minimal disruption.

HIGH IMPACT AND ABRASION RESISTANCE

The embedded layer of acrylic flakes within the resin system significantly enhances the floor's durability and strength. These flakes not only improve the floor's structural integrity but also provide added resistance to abrasions and impacts. This makes the flooring solution ideal for high-traffic areas, ensuring a long-lasting, resilient surface that maintains its appearance and functionality over time. Additionally, the acrylic flakes contribute to the floor's aesthetic appeal, offering a visually appealing finish.

EASILY REPAIRED

Flake epoxy systems are renowned for their ease of repair, making them a practical choice for both residential and commercial settings. When damage occurs, whether from heavy impacts, scratches, or chemical spills, the repair process is straightforward and efficient. Minor imperfections can often be addressed by sanding down the affected area and applying a new layer of epoxy, seamlessly blending with the existing surface. For more extensive damage, the affected section can be isolated, and new flakes can be applied, ensuring a consistent appearance. This ease of maintenance not only extends the life of the flooring but also minimizes downtime and disruption, as repairs can be completed quickly without the need for extensive overhauls. Overall, the simplicity of repairing flake epoxy systems adds to their appeal, ensuring a durable, attractive, and low-maintenance flooring solution.

SLIP RESISTANT

Flake epoxy systems are designed to provide a non-slip surface, making them a safe choice for various environments, especially those prone to spills or moisture. The inclusion of acrylic flakes within the epoxy creates a textured surface that enhances traction, reducing the risk of slips and falls. This makes flake epoxy floors ideal for use in kitchens, garages, workshops, and commercial spaces where safety is a top priority.

HIDES DIRT AND DEBRIS

Flake epoxy systems are excellent at hiding dirt and debris, thanks to their decorative acrylic flakes that create a multi-colored, patterned surface. This design naturally camouflages dust and imperfections, keeping floors looking clean between maintenance.
