Decorative Quartz
Decorative quartz epoxy flooring brings together the timeless elegance of natural quartz aggregates with the durability and versatility of epoxy resin. In these systems, decorative quartz granules are broadcasted into a layer of high-performance, 100% solids epoxy resin, creating a surface that is as resilient as it is stunning. The decorative quartz granules add texture, strength, and visual interest to the floor, enhancing your overall space.

System Overview
01
Concrete Prep & Patching
We begin by industrial diamond grinding the concrete to a CSP 3 surface profile, ensuring optimal conditions for maximum epoxy mechanical bonding. This meticulous surface preparation is crucial for the long-term durability of the terrazzo epoxy system. We employ Terrco industrial grinders, renowned for their superior performance and industry-leading quality.
02
100% Solids Epoxy Base Coat
Next, a layer of 100% solids pigmented epoxy is then applied to the prepped concrete. The 100% solids formulation means there are no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released during application, making it an environmentally friendly option that also reduces health risks for installers and occupants.
03
Decorative Quartz Broadcast
Next, while the epoxy is still wet, decorative quartz granules are broadcasted into the epoxy. The decorative quartz granules are hand thrown into the epoxy until the entire surface is coved. These granules create a strong, decorative, and slip resistant surface.
05
Second Broadcast of Decorative Quartz
While the polyaspartic is still wet, another broadcast of decorative quartz is performed. This layer of granules further enhances the slip resistance and strength of the floor.
04
First layer of 100% Solids Polyaspartic
After the epoxy and quartz layers are cured, a layer of 100% solids polyaspartic is applied. The polyaspartic is spread evenly to create a smooth and protective layer over the granules.
06
Top Coat of 100% Solids Polyaspartic
Once the layer of polyaspartic and quartz are cured, a second layer of polyaspartic is applied. This layer serves to encapsulate the second broadcast of quartz granules, providing a smooth and durable finish. This additional layer enhances the floor's durability, making it resistant to wear, chemicals, and UV exposure.

SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS
HIGH IMPACT AND ABRASION RESISTANCE
The inclusion of decorative quartz granules within the epoxy-polyaspartic flooring system significantly enhances its impact and abrasion resistance. These granules, made of hard, durable quartz, are embedded in the epoxy and polyaspartic layers, creating a tough, textured surface. The quartz's inherent hardness provides a protective barrier that absorbs and dissipates impact forces, preventing damage to the underlying layers.

SLIP RESISTANT
The embedded quartz granules provide a textured surface that significantly improves slip resistance. This is particularly important in areas where spills or wet conditions are common, ensuring a safer environment for both employees and visitors.
AESTHETIC APPEAL
The use of decorative quartz granules adds a visually appealing, customizable design to the floor. Available in a wide range of colors and blends, these granules can create various patterns and textures, enhancing the overall look of the space.

QUICK TURNAROUND/RETURN TO SERVICE
Polyaspartic coatings have rapid curing times compared to traditional epoxy, allowing for quicker installation and reduced downtime. Floors can often be returned to service within 24 hours, making this system advantageous for businesses that cannot afford prolonged closures.
