Southwest Jet Center required a long-lasting, durable, and chemical-resistant hangar floor to meet their operational needs. After assessing the current concrete condition and understanding their specific requirements, we recommended our CT-3EEU floor system as the ideal solution.
The installation process began with industrial diamond grinding the concrete to a CSP 3 using our Terrco industrial grinders, ensuring the surface was properly prepped. We then addressed all remaining divots and cracks in the concrete by patching them and allowing the patches to cure fully.
Once the patches were cured, we applied a base coat of pigmented 100% solids epoxy resin, followed by a build coat of the same high-quality epoxy resin to enhance durability and resistance. To finalize the process, we applied a top coat of high-performance urethane with a DiamondWear additive, which significantly improves wear resistance.
The result is a robust, chemical-resistant hangar floor that meets the demanding conditions of Southwest Jet Center's operations, providing a long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing solution.
